After unprecedented catastrophic environmental events, this site-less architecture is an island floating over the ruins of past society, designed to protect itself from a destabilized environment.

The home is composed of four stories of 10’-0” cubic bays, each dedicated to a primary function.

Systems and drainage are distributed throughout the hollow structural frame to allow for flexible space configurations in each bay module. The building skin incorporates salvaged materials as cladding with a bolt on rain screen system.

Plants and outdoor spaces are provided on every level.
In the event of a massive flood, the building can separate from the foundation and functions as a floating home instead of being destroyed.

Polluted water from the surrounding environment is processed with an integrated filtration system, supplying occupants with clean drinking water.

The building has a robust and ubiquitous design to not only survive harsh conditions, but also remain relevant in a variety of familiar and unfamiliar future lifestyles.
